Personal

I was born near Lake Hungtse and spent my first 18 wonderful years in Huai’an, Jiangsu, China. I was graduated from Huaiyin High School and went to Beijing for college in 2013. After graduation in 2017, I decided to spend one year to look for a suitable lab worldwide for Ph.D. study. Therefore, I traveled a lot from Aisa to America to Europe for lab/professor visits in 2018. Eventually, in early 2019, I fulfilled the goal by accepting the offer from Rice University. However, due to the tense relationship between China and the US at the time, I deferred my Rice study for one year and fortunately interned at SenseTime Research to fill the gap. I finally joint Rice in 2020 Fall but studied remotely in Shenzhen due to the severe global epidemic. After careful consideration under the difficult situation, I decided to terminate my study at Rice and joint NTU MMLab under SenseTime Ph.D. Fund.

Travel

I was a frequent traveler from an early age. After semesters, my parents usually sent me to relatives in other cities, so I am quite used to and love traveling and exploring new cities. In 2018, I traveled to more than 20 cities in the United States and more than 10 cities in the Europe.
